If it's someone trying to show us... then who would know about all these things? If it's memories... I don't know who would have been to all these places.
What about the Faerie Queen? Wasn't she supposed to be asleep most of the time?
I don’t really know much about the fae, but a Faerie Queen might have enough power to pull something like that off.
The other possibility I thought of is that it might involve dragons. After the nightmare, someone told me they were able to speak with a leviathan in the sea...
People come from so many different places I think a bunch of stuff reminds them of home, but in a bad way. They don't always realize that it's different, here.
